Triton Regional Special Education List Serve |
A list serve is simply a program which broadcasts messages to all email addresses which are registered to that list. You, as the end user, control your subscription to the list. If you subscribe, you'll get all emails sent to the list. If you unsubscribe, you will stop getting all emails immediately. Please be aware that these lists are Controlled Message Post list serves. This means that the District will be using this to send informational notices out to the Triton Community about Triton events. Only our school offices can post to the list, it is not public. There is NO WAY for someone to post a message to everyone on the list without our approval. In addition, no one can capture your email address from the messages sent out. This is completely secure.
These list serves are being hosted by an outside vendor, L-Soft. When you click on a link below for a specific list, you'll be taken to the L-Soft website where you will complete the form to enroll in the list serve. It is easiest to simply enter your name and email address, keep the default choices for other questions on the page, and click the "Join TRSD-XXX" button on the bottom. You will then receive a confirmation email to that address with a link that you must click on to verify the subscription. This way, no one can register an email account that isn't their own .
You can also remove your name from the list using the same link. Follow the same process as above, entering the email address you want to remove, and then click the "Leave TRSD-XXX." You will again receive a confirmation message you will need to reply to in order to verify your removal.
You can belong to as many lists as you like. Our suggestion is that you join both the district-wide list serve as well as the list serve for your child(ren)'s school(s). All subscribers will be able to receive announcements, but will not be able to post messages.
