Tuesday, March 9, 2010 - School Committee visits Gloucester, MA School District: Current District for Christopher Farmer On Thursday and Friday, March 11th and 12th, the candidates will visit Triton and follow the schedule outlined below. The day will end with a public interview with the TRSD School Committee to be held each night at 7:00 p.m. with the candidates: The candidates will visit according to the following schedule: Friday, March 12, 2010 - Kelly Clenchy visits TRSD Thursday, March 11, 2010 - Christopher Farmer visits TRSD
8:30 to 10:30
Middle/High School 8:30 to 9:00
Candidate have coffee with Principals,
Assistant Principals and other Administrators. 9:00 to 10:10
Candidate will tour the buildings and meet
some middle/high school faculty.
10:10 to 10:30
Central Office Administrators
Candidate will meet with Central Office Administrators in the Central
Office Conference Room
10:45 to 11:45
Newbury Elementary School
Candidate will tour school and meet with
some faculty.
11:45 to 12:45
Pine Grove School (Rowley)
Candidate will tour school and meet with
some faculty. 12: 45 – 1:30
Lunch: Candidate will have lunch and meet with local officials
(selectmen, town managers, finance committee members as available)
1:45 to 2:45
Salisbury Elementary School Candidate will tour school and meet with some
faculty.

Candidate Reception for parents, community members, town
officials.
Reception facilitated by a member of
the school committee. 7:00 pm School Committee Interview: This will consist of an opening statement, questions from the School Committee, and a closing statement. Interviews will be recorded to be televised at a later date.
The Triton Regional School
Committee will be appointing a new Superintendent of Schools for the
2010/2011 school year due to the retirement of Dr. Sandra Halloran. The
district has hired the Massachusetts Association of School Committees
(MASC) to conduct this search to ensure a fair and unbiased process.
This page will be used to communicate information about the process and
timelines for the search. The Triton Regional School Committee is looking for input from all district and community stakeholders (parents, residents, staff, and students) regarding the skills required of the next Superintendent of Schools and the issue that this individual will face in the coming years. Please fill out the online survey by clicking HERE or follow the link to download a paper copy which can be returned to the Superintendent's Office. You may also wish to attend a focus group. Paper surveys will also be available at school offices in the district. Paper copies should be returned to Patty Morelli, Triton Superintendent’s Office, 112 Elm Street, Byfield, MA 01922. All surveys need to be returned by October 30, 2009. |
